Interior Landscapes

Visual Identityl

2015 – Portuguese Cultural Center

The Mozambican photographer Filipe Branquinho developed over three years, a survey of photographs of the city of Maputo, where he was born and now lives and works. These photographs capture the interior life of architectural landmark buildings that, after the colonial period, have suffered the erosion of time, showing traces of detachment and abandonment.
João Roxo, founding partner and designer of ANIMA, was invited to develop the visual identity and editorial design of the book that brings together these Interior Landscapes, launched at the first exhibition held in Maputo, at the Instituto Camões. Previously, this work was presented in the main exhibition of the 10th Bamako Biennale (2015) “Telling Time”.
