BREASTFEEDING

2019 – Ansa

For a long time, breast milk was the main and exclusive source of nutrition for babies and children, however, the promotion of breast milk substitutes and their increased use have led to a decline in breastfeeding rates in many countries and increased health risks and child malnutrition.

This campaign developed by ANIMA for ANSA – Nutrition and Food Safety Association – presents the main actions observed in the National Code of Marketing of Breastmilk Substitutes, such as the limitation of advertising of baby food products and the provision of labels, among others, in order to ensure the health and well-being of children, supporting, protecting and promoting infant feeding as well as resorting to breastfeeding, and is aimed at manufacturers, traders, wholesalers, mothers and caregivers of infants and children.
