Tempo Real Time

2013 - Associação Kulungwana

With the urban dynamics of Maputo as the main theme, the Mozambican photographers Filipe Branquinho, Mário Macilau and Mauro Pinto were invited to take part in a collective exhibition in the Joburg Art Fair, curated by Berry Bickle.
ANIMA created the visual identify for the exhibition, participated in the naming, the space design and designed a catalog to disseminate the exhibited works.

The exhibition was built in a stand belonging to Associação Kulungwana, in collaboration with the artists. The graphic elements that accompanied the photographs were created for this phase.

The name “Tempo Real Time” was created to be read in Portuguese and English by the audience, taking in account that the exhibition took place in South Africa.

The logo was conceived with an urban aesthetics sprinkled with noise and in neutral tones. The word “Real” cut in half represents the idea of urban segregation.

The printed catalog displayed a selection from the exposed photographs and was created with the same visual identity as the other communication materials.
