Supatxenja

2014 - Azul Consultoria

Azul conceived a road safety campaign for Anadarko, with the purpose of reducing the accident rates in the roads of northern Mozambique.

In the scope of the project, ANIMA conceived a communication campaign together with the partners of the project Hyperdeck – Institute for Post-Industrial Design (Switzerland). This campaign included the creation of a communication plan destined to the communities of Pemba. Sessions of testing were made in the communities to adapt the messages and approach to the target audience. The communication supports were made, mainly, for children and young people from northern Mozambique.

The project’s goal was to create heroes of the road. People who practice and promote a safe behavior in the public roads. The idea was that anyone could become a Supatxenja.

A research was made in 4 communities and 4 schools in Pemba, with the intention of gathering information about the relationship between people and the road and their mobility habits.

3 communication campaign proposals were developed. In the Pemba and Mocímboa da Praia communities, testing sessions were made to evaluate the understanding and the impact of each campaign. In the end the Supatxenja campaign was selected.

Several communication materials were developed to mobilize the populations against accidents in the roads of Pemba.
