Muva – Communication and Identity

2017 - DFID

MUVA is a 5-year long programme financed by DFID and managed by Oxford Policy Management, directed to young women oz Mozambique’s urban areas, aiming to give them a more promising future. ANIMA and the US-based agency GMMB are this programme’s communication partners, and have developed the whole concept behind the brand and the communication strategy. The name “MUVA” was conceived from the idea of movement and the habit Mozambicans have of adapting words from English.

MUVA drives young Mozambicans to surpass, together, either boys or girls, the gender barriers that limit their futures.

The manifest is the expression of what they feel about the hardships they face to study, find a job, or even keep a job for long enough, and of course… the dreams they have for the future.
